[He watches with the same fascination and curiosity he did before. Her sharp fangs piercing through his skin and her golden eyes lighting up brilliantly to scarlet... This comes with the added affectionate gesture of the kiss before the act. And he's not sure if it's that or the bite that makes his fingers twitch in her grasp.
If he recalls correctly, the drowsiness hit him fairly quickly after she bit him. So he gives it a few moments waiting in silence for himself to fall asleep. And he does begin to feel something... A warmth that starts to bloom from the inside. It's a bit reminiscent of the cupcakes from last night which is probably what keeps him from thinking that it's the quick onset of some sort of fever.
He really can't help but softly chuckle at the effects of this particular bite. They're really doing things all out of order. It's terribly scandalous... Absurdly so. And for at least right now being so far away from the things that hinge on those sorts of standards help make it feel less of a big deal. But still...]
I fear your venom will not have the desired upon effect this evening. [Quite the opposite, he would say. All his senses feel lit up especially when it comes to her. Not that he wasn't already keenly aware of her touch on his skin but...] It would be untoward to share the bed with you now...
[That being said he does not leave or make any indication to do so. It's just... this will be twice now that he's been given some agent that will inspire affection towards her. He is not incapable of doing it himself without these additives. It just seems a touch unkind if he must always be inebriated even if it's just their proprieties that he's been keeping in line.

Also... because he wants to while not terribly influenced by anything other than himself and his own inhibitions. It's a kiss of reassurance that he doesn't mind that her bite has done this. This sort of effect will surely have some use in their future. When work has worn him down she can easily help him relax.
